Somerset West Croquet Club
SWCC WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS both those completely new to croquet as well as those who may have played some version of the game before.
We offer a range of activities for those new to the game. The club will provide the equipment, all you will need is a pair of flat-soled shoes (e.g. trainers) and clothing suitable for the outdoors – a sun hat!

As a follow-up you are very welcome to join our ‘Introductory Course to Croquet’ which is designed to teach the basics quickly so that you will soon be able to play games with friends and other club members with some degree of confidence.
After these 3 sessions you will be asked to fill in an application form and invited to join club days and where you will be introduced to current members and get further exposure to the game. After an effective 5 weeks, and coordination between the trainers and committee, you will be invited to join the club when fees will then be payable.
Free ‘Follow-on Coaching courses’ are available and are designed to broaden skills, improve understanding of the game, and build confidence.
